We have a lovely session after school yesterday all about the teaching of reading here at Dounby School. Our families had the opportunity to find out a little more about the theories and practise behind how we teach reading, as well as visit workshop stations run by each of our classes. At some of our stations, we were able to showcase the resources our Parent Council have supported the school to purchase, thanks to their amazing fundraising efforts. We have put a copy of the presentation we used up on this website in our Curriculum folder for anyone who did not manage to attend.
