Well, the weather forecast is dull and gray, but no rain - so our sports day will go ahead!
As it is to be windy and not the usual June temperatures, we have decided to go for an afternoon only event from 1.45pm to 3pm (approx.). We will be running all the class and team events but not the potted sports activities.
Everyone will need to wrap up for the weather conditions. We recommend pupils wear joggers and a warm sweatshirt or hoodie. We also recommend a waterproof jacket, just in case! We are happy if pupils want to bring this to change into or come into school wearing their warmer outfits.
To help folks cosy from the start, FODS will be offering lunches for parents from 12pm to 1.30pm in the Community Room. Please note, this is not for our pupils as they will be getting a lovely lunch in the dinner hall.
At the end of the events, pupils will then go back to class and be dismissed as usual from their class lines outside the main door from 3.20pm. This gives everyone time to collect school bags and water bottles to go home.
