We were exceptionally lucky to receive £1,440 from the Tesco Tokens down at their Kirkwall store, and this will be used for the purchase of equipment and crockery. For example, for the Toast Stop we currently borrow the fabulous toasting machine from the Milestone Church, so we will be able to make a community purchase of one.
What this grant does not cover for our Toast Stop is jam - and we are running out! Our bairns enjoy a wee spread of jam on their toast every Wednesday and Friday morning, but our stocks are running low. If anyone could donate a wee jar of jam , it would be very much appreciated - especially from the Dounby bairns!
