We have been informed today that the Scottish Government guidance for schools around the next change in self isolation requirements will not be published until 2.5.2022.
Public health advice will change on Sunday 1st May 2022 to a 'stay at home' message, which replaces the self-isolation for people who have symptoms or have tested positive. This will be in direct difference to the current Scottish Government education guidance and will remain so until we can process the new education guidance coming out on 2.5.2022.
Between now and then this will mean there is likely to be different messages in social media and news activities that will be giving a different message from our schools. Please bear with us whilst we get to grips with the new guidance next week and get this information out to families. It is unlikely that this will be fully reviewed by all staff in school until later in that week.
Whilst we are doing this next piece of review and risk assessment change, we will be asking that anyone with symptoms or who have tested positive stay at home. We will adapt to the new education guidance in this area once we have it.
Many thanks for your understanding in this matter.
