Folk Festival Visit 23.5.2025

We had a wonderful visit from Frigg, from the Orkney Folk Festival, today, which was very apt as we learned from the grop that Frigg means Friday!

Our pupils just loved their performace and we know they will be a roaring success at festival events. Thanks to all at the Orkney Folk Festival for making this event happen.

Please get involved if you can

Phone Line Disruption 30.4.2025

We are now entering the final phase of hopefully getting our new phone system installed as part of OIC's digital migration process. On Wednesday 30th Apriol 2025, there will be a temporary loss of phone service which can range from 5 minutes to 2 hours in duration. We do not have a timeframe for this loss of phone service and completely understand the inconvenience this could cause, so we appreciate your patience and understanding whilst this happens. Please contact us via email on that day if you are unable to reach us by phone - admin.dounby@glow.orkneyschools.org.uk

Help Us Keep Everyone Safe – Please Close the Gates 28.3.2025

Just a quick but important reminder to all families and visitors: please make sure the school gates are closed behind you when coming in or out of our school grounds.

Keeping the gates shut is a simple but really important step in making sure everyone on site is safe, especially our pupils. Even leaving them open for a short time can create unnecessary risk.

We really appreciate your support in helping us keep the school secure. Thank you!
